This auto-formats all *.dart files in the repository outside of the `engine` subdirectory and enforces that these files stay formatted with a presubmit check. **Reviewers:** Please carefully review all the commits except for the one titled "formatted". The "formatted" commit was auto-generated by running `dev/tools/format.sh -a -f`. The other commits were hand-crafted to prepare the repo for the formatting change. This folder contains unit tests that are run with kReleaseMode set to true. This can be used for unit testing code that is guarded by this boolean, such as in cases where debug code is intentionally elided for performance or code size reasons. The unit tests are still run in the VM and are not otherwise precompiled.
To run these test from the command line, use the command: flutter test --dart-define=dart.vm.product=true test_release/
